JC Penney has their discount underwear in a knot over an ad they "officially" did not release because it it suggests... *Gasp* ...Sex! They also demand it be "removed from the internet." Or is it all just viral marketing at its best? JCPenney: Speed Dressing...

the whole point of viral marketing is deny deny deny, while your vid makes the rounds online and gets everyone talking.

I think it's cute, but I think it would've been a nice twist to show the mom & her boyfriend sneaking off to the basement while the kids were playing a video game or something. Now, that's something JCPenney shoppers could REALLY identify with!

Poor old JC Penney - trying to "update" their image has ended in the promotion of teenage sexual exploitation (no, not exploration - EXPLOITATION). When kids who watch this get std's or pregnant I suppose JC Penney will supply them with the appropriate clothing. And, where were the actors parents when this was being shot - who signed the releases? Good job, parents...really showing your true colors.

All this hoopla over nothing. I agree with smileyourway, although I'd say mom and dad instead of boyfriend, just because kids don't think mom and dad do "that kind of stuff."

This is THE problem written by Lisa B,

We're not stupid. Sex and teens are commonplace. That's the PROBLEM. Values have been removed from television. There are so few shows that remind teens of the risks associated with unprotected sex. I may be old fashioned but I admire teens that have made a commitment to "wait" until marriage. That in itself is a huge uphill battle. Unfortunately commercials and television shows that encourage having sex in the teen years are the majority. Oh well, there is an OFF button on that TV remote, the answer is to USE IT!

Has anyone looked at fashion magazines lately? This is NOTHING!!!! I thought the commercial was cute and funny! Mom should not trust those teenage hormones in the bedroom! Send them to the den.
