Rattlebox - E-Cards That Don't Suck

We can’t remember when, exactly, but there was a brief moment in time when it was actually exciting to get an e-card. Yeah! Someone’s thinking about me! That feeling quickly morphed into disdain. Today, we aren’t sure which is worse an e-card or SPAM. The combination of the awful music, cheesy graphics, and the codes you have to type in to retrieve them made us long for the days of sappy Hallmark cards.

Then we heard about Rattlebox.com, an e-card company that’s tongue in cheek and has the pitch perfect card to celebrate any milestone or help you backtrack out of a kerfuffle.

All of the cards on Rattlebox are video clips – produced from 40,000 hours of raw footage, including kitschy vintage PSAs, old-school animation and tons of irreverent content. The R-rated ones come with a caution label, so you won’t have to send a card apologizing for your card. For those you looking for that “edge,” click here for their provocative card section.

Of course, there are more traditional cards. Categories include birthdays, thinking of you, love/dating, weddings/marriages, graduation, invites, anniversary, insults, and many more.

You can e-mail, IM, blog, or post the card to the recipient’s Facebook or MySpace page.

It’s nice when the tagline of a company is actually true: e-cards that don’t suck.

I too was delighted to see that there was a new free ecard site. Especially when I read the comment that some of the content was pornograhic (lol). Alas, no porno here. I'd be perfectly OK sending most of the cards to my coworkers. There are a few cards that are pretty racy - all of them clearly marked with a caution sign, and a warning that has to be clicked before the card will play. I guess Debbie clicked past both the caution sign and the warning to
watch the racier content. Hmmm. Thanks Daily Cents for the tip. Lots of great cards. And nothing more
offensive than what you might see on TV.

I am all about the REAL THING. I just can't do the E-Card thing no matter how cool they are. People can't just take a moment to send and real card in the mail? I think E-Cards are sooooo impersonal.
Thanks

Oh lighten up...its barley Porn. Live a little...its just an E-card. Not your television show in the middle of the day that your kids might watch.
CAUTION

I would probably stay away from the ones that say, "CAUTION". Thats my advice.
Stop the sniveling!!!

Can't you "Whollier than thou" folk stop whining about every little inappropriate thing you come across. Some of us like a more racy/edgy style of e-card (That don't suck!!)... If the content of these e-card seem too offensive for your "Prudish" taste, then stick with Hallmark. They have plenty of blah, mediocre, non-offensive, and extremely boring card to choose from..... And please stop trying to save the world, we're fine.....
