Sandra Bullock is a class act. Thought her speech was very moving, but there were a number of great speeches and great moments.
I do think Avatar deserved more accolades than it receive because of the quality of the work and the impact it will have on the movie industry going forward, but I have to say that was one of the best Oscar events I can recall.

I really thought "AVATAR" would win for Best Picture. It truly was an epic and the imaginary work that went into it deserved this award. I think the real reason it didn't win was many of the Academy members were turned off of the film due to the fact it made so much money that they didn't get. I enjoyed the entire show and Steve and Alec added a nice comic filler.

Hollywood was in fine form last night during its annual Oscar celebration of the best movies and performances of 2009. There were many memorable moments: Hosts Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin cuddled up in a Snuggie, Sandra Bullock and Jeff Bridges winning best actress and best actor nods, Ben Stiller presenting Pandora-style, Kathryn Bigelow becoming the first female to win Best Director and The Hurt Locker upsetting favorite Avatar as the Best Picture choice.
